On the October 23rd, the city of Pärnu was the host of accordion competition, which is a part of the 38th Pärnu Accordion Festival. This event with a long tradition is usually international, but as a consequence of the current pandemic and limited travels it was set to be on a national level this time. The competition brought the promising future of Estonian accordion in one place and students performed in 4 categories.

All three participants from Lasnamäe Music School in Tallinn have come back home with prizes in their hands. Elena Poletaeva has won the second prize, Artur Kuznetsov the first prize, while David-Ovid Komlev won the Grand Prix of the oldest category in the competition.

Parallel with the accordion festival, Pärnu was hosting the accordion masterclass organised by Akordionikool foundation and Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre lecturer Tiina Välja, having 4 guest teachers: Momir Novakovic, Henri Zibo, Mikk Langeproon and Giorgio Dellarole from Italy. The masterclass was successfully concluded with a concert where students performed, but also had a possibility to listen the performance of Tallinn Accordion Trio (Momir Novakovic, Henri Zibo, Mikk Langeproon).
